Although there is no direct flight from Pakistan to Halmstad. You can follow either of the following routes to reach Halmstad.

• Pakistan to Copenhagen (Denmark)
• Pakistan to Stockholm (Sweden)
• Pakistan to Gothenberg (Sweden)

Halmstad is closer to Gothenberg than either Copenhagen or Stockholm as you can see from the following map. Another important point to be kept in mind, while planning your travel is that you don't need any transit visa if you are staying for few hours on any airport and you can also choose any route via any of the Schengen states because your Swedish Visa gives you the advantage of travelling between the Schengen states without needing separate Visa.

Following is a list of airlines that operate between Pakistan and the above mentioned destinations:

Apart from the above mentioned airlines there are some other airlines that have connecting flights to the said destinations:

1. Etihad Airlines (www.etihadairways.com)
2. KLM (www.klm.com)

Once you have landed at the above-mentioned airports you can proceed to HalmstadUniversity according to the following information

• Copenhagen to Halmstad

• By Bus: When you exit from Terminal 3 (shown by yellow circle in the picture below) you can find the Bus stop right in front of the exit gate. From there you can use SWEBUS to reach Halmstad. The journey between Copenhagen airport to Halmstad city is around 2½ hours. The tickets for bus can be purchased on the bus.

• By Train: A fast train service links the airport with Malmo, Sweden. Trains to Halmstad depart after every hour. The ticket office is located inside the arrival lounge of Terminal 3. After buying the ticket, you need to go one floor down by escalators to catch your train. Train will come from left side. Trains always come on the right time and stay only 2-3 minutes and then leave the station. Sometimes you will have to change your train at Malmo central station, so be careful about that.

• Stockholm to Halmstad

If you are coming via Stockholm then first you need to go from airport to Stockholm central station from where you can get either bus or train to Halmstad or you can come via domestic flight, which you shall get on the same airport.

For travelling between the Arlanda airport and the central station, you can either take a bus or train. The bus costs 50 SEK and takes around 40 minutes, whereas the train (Arlanda Express) costs 200 SEK and takes 20 minutes. For more information, contact the Information Desk available at the airport.

• By Bus: When you reach the central station you will see there SWEBUS bus stop, the route information is shown on the LCD display. Bus will take probably nine hours from Stockholm central station to Halmstad. You can purchase tickets from the ticket counter.

Central Station(Swebus No. 820) → Helsingborg(Swebus No. 832) →            Halmstad.

• By Train: You can also find direct and indirect trains from the Stockholm central station to Halmstad. Please find the help desk for the information and timings for both. Beside the help desk there is ticket counter.

• Gothenburg to Halmstad

If you are coming via Gothenburg then you also have to go to the central station first and then you can find both the train and the bus to Halmstad from there. When you reach the central station, you can buy train tickets from there.

In order to travel by bus you need to go to the Nils Ericsson terminal which is located adjacent to the central station.

• By Bus: Swebus No. 820 takes you to Halmstad.
• By Train: There is a train to Halmstad after every hour and it takes 1½ hour to reach Halmstad.

• Central Station, Halmstad to HalmstadUniversity

If you are coming to Halmstad by train then you will reach at Halmstad C (central) station. From central station HalmstadUniversity is a 15 minutes walk.

You can see in the map below, A is Halmstad central station and B is the location of HalmstadUniversity building. The tallest building of Halmstad city is university’s Trade center building.
