Students have to choose three universities to study this program. The first semester is held in Halmstad University, Sweden. The courses teach during the first semester are:

Signal & Systems, 7.5 credits,
Algorithm Data Structures, 7.5 credits,
Optics, Camera and Vision, 7.5 credits,
