Degree Program Objective:
This program offers a one-year education on advanced level, giving technical specialist competence and a strong basis for work with construction or development within computer systems engineering.
The thesis work can be begun during the second semester and be going on until the end of the education.
Compulsory courses:
Random processes, 7.5 credits (Mathematics course),
Distributed real-time systems, 7.5 credits,
Wireless Communication, 7.5 credits,
Coding and Digital Communication, 7.5 credits,
Modern Communication and Networks, 7.5 credits,
Thesis, 15 credits
Optional Courses: (for following specializations, students can choose the following courses respective to program)
Signals and systems, 7.5 credits,
Computer languages, 7.5 credits
Concurrent programming, 7.5 credits,
Image analysis I, 7.5 credits,
Image analysis II, 7.5 credits,
Optics, vision ad cameras, 7.5 credits,
Optical communication, 7.5 credits,
Parallel computer architecture, 7.5 credits
As a student in this program you choose one of the following specializations:
Optical and wireless techniques mainly directed towards non-intrusive measurements using radio waves, microwaves and light.
Image analysis, which provides knowledge of image- and signal analysis and the use of image analysis in areas such as machine vision and biometric identification.
Software technology, directed on the development of modern software tools.
Note: For a degree in Computer systems engineering the thesis must be in Computer systems engineering. For a degree in Electrical engineering the thesis must be in Electrical engineering.
